He designed this box with the goal of storing magnet balls that come in packs of 216 units. I bought four packs, each a different color, and maybe I'll buy more later since my granddaughter loves making figures with these magnets. The idea was to design a modular box that can connect to other identical boxes and grow as needed. The ideal shape was an hexagon (the same as bee panels), so that alternating sides have an entrance or exit that allows for snap-on connections between multiple boxes.
