The mysterious figure stepped out of the shadows and into the spotlight, their presence commanding attention from all who lay eyes on them. Their piercing gaze scanned the room, as if sizing up each individual present, before finally coming to rest on me. A hint of a smile played on their lips, but it was clear that this was no ordinary person.
