Cairn Cup
thingiverse
This scale model of UBC's Engineering Cairn also functions as a 1.5-ounce drinking glass, with its interior hollowed for material efficiency. For best results, print with ABS or Taulman's 618 Nylon to avoid melting during dishwasher cycles; PLA may not be suitable due to its lower glass-transition temperature. No supports are needed for internal overhangs when printing. If using a raft, use a heat gun to remove stressed plastic and seal the part. However, use caution before turning this 3D-printed container into an actual drinking vessel, as ABS and PLA plastics may contain impurities from the printing process and may not be fully cleanable. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if the risks are acceptable for using this model as a glass.
