This is a specialized tool designed specifically for rebuilding crankshafts on Cagiva Mito 125cc motorcycles. Its primary function is as a cylinder used during the process of pressing crankshaft halves together. To use this tool, you first insert the big end con rod pin into one side of the crankshaft. Next, you place one half of the crankshaft into the cylinder and then attach the bearing for the conrod along with the conrod itself. The second crankshaft half is then inserted from the top of the cylinder, where it's pressed firmly in place. A small hole on one side of the tool accommodates the conrod. This specialized cylinder serves to keep parts aligned while pressing them together and holds its shape until the job is complete.
