Cafelat Robot Mitten V2
prusaprinters
This is an upgrade to my older ‘mittens’ for the Cafelat manual espresso machine “Robot”. The original version used snaps that tended to come apart, over time, when 9 bar of pressure was applied to the handles. This version of the mittens use an M5 10mm screw to bind the front and back pieces. These mittens ease the pain in applying force to the Robot handles. This version also includes a logo that can be printed in a secondary color for customization. I have included a sample logo that works well. The logo needs to be an SVG file suitable for 3D printing (not too much detail or fine lines). I will create a custom cover for the first 5 makers who send me an SVG file. Additional part: M5x10mm (I used round head)Print at 0.2 for best logo, otherwise 0.3 is fine. PLA or PETG, 35 minutes per piece (1 hr+ for mitten) @ 0.3; 52 min/piece @0.2 detail. I slow down my first layer to 15mm. Print flat face up.I've included a “screw test” model so you can see if the hole created by your printer is suitable for an M5 self-threading. If not, let me know and I'll create a backing with an adjusted hole.
