sketchfab
Julius Caesar by Nicolas Coustou makes a powerful appearance in 1696 as part of Versailles' grand park design. Unveiled at that time, it will eventually be relocated to the Tuileries Garden in 1722, marking a significant move that is commemorated on the statue itself. A terracotta study can currently be seen in the Girardon crypt, while the original masterpiece resides within the courtyard of Puget, both strategically located within the walls of the Louvre museum.
