Caddx Vista Mount

Good day, all! We all love the quality of our DJI FPV setups, right? But it's expensive to put a Vista or Air Unit in every single plane you own (assuming you can find one in stock). Meanwhile, lots of molded FPV wings, like the SonicModell AR Wings or the Caipirinha II, have a place specifically made to mount a GoPro Session, which many of us no longer use.

So here is a print made to mount a Caddx Vista, which will fit into the molded Session mounts (you may have to notch out some foam at the top for the antenna in some cases, but hey, details). It also has some bumps and notches on it so that it snaps into the GoPro Session nose mounts I have made in the past.

Why would I do this? Well, now I have two Vitsas, a Nebula Pro and a Polar, and I can swap them from plane to plane. I don't record FPV, so on most of my wings, I have a nose mount that just has a slot for this to snap into (I will post these as well as I work on them). It will not come off in flight.

All you need is to run wires to your power source (or flight controller if you roll that way like I do). Add a connector in between and then you can just go from plane to plane with your mount. I use a four-pin PH2.0 connector, because it fits in the cavity in the back of this mount for a cleaner install, but if you've got space behind the camera, you can use whatever connector you want.

I know someone is going to mention durability. Yes, I would prefer more protection on the sides. That's how I had it originally. Testing this design cost me two Vistas to heat damage. So here we are. That said, you can see the amount of dirt on one of my plane's noses. This thing has been crashed hard repeatedly, and is still kicking. I did break an antenna once, which is why I personally fly with the TBS SMA adapter. Easier to swap out.

Hopefully this is helpful to someone. Enjoy!
