There are two versions of the base--one with added weights and one without-- the cactus fits on both. The weighted base adds 5mm to the height of the assembled model.

IF PRINTING THE WEIGHTED BASE, CHECK THE PDF FILE FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

The weights used are TWO 1.25inch x 0.125inch x 3inch steel flat bars. (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-1-4-in-x-72-in-Plain-Steel-Flat-Bar-with-1-8-in-Thick-801047/204225738)

I used 1.25inch width bars because it added the most weight to the base--if requested I can make it fit a 0.5inch width bar or other.

The cactus snugly fits on the base, but I recommend gluing the caps into the base with superglue or Weld-On 16 (I prefer the latter)

NOTE: The weighted base has a 1mm thick support structure that must be cut with an exacto knife (this is the hole where the steel bars go in and where the base caps plug the hole. No glue is needed, although you can add some after you put the steel plates in. CHECK THE PDF FILE for clarification.

Due to the large # of holes on the cactus, I had to print the first layer at 50% speed (from the PLA with MK3s+ settings) Otherwise it would not stick to the bed. Use your best judgement for the settings, I left everything default (2 perimeters, 20% infill, default print speed)
