2017-03-01 UPDATE: The cap now sits more steadily on the base with CM.v3.02.stl. UPDATE: This is the new version of the CableMount, CM.v2.03.stl. These cable mounts are now designed as two separate parts: a socket that screws onto an aluminum extrusion and a cap that slides over the socket once cables are inserted. I've included pictures of the original version with a diagonal slot to show the evolution of this design. These cable mounts were created to keep cables organized while setting up my new HyperCube. They can be attached using 8mm long, 5mm diameter flat head screws. The design allows for printing without slicer supports. One support is already included in the STL file and must be removed before use. To achieve overhangs, print these cable mounts slowly.
