CableManager

If your device, Ethernet or power cables are constantly getting tangled up in a messy knot then treat yourself to a CableManager right away! This simple gadget can be printed in about 15 minutes on a MakerBot, requires hardly any filament at all, and instantly clicks into place on your devices power cable. Check out the images for the recommended sequence - once installed in this order you can unclip just the length of cable needed from each end to manage the length as required and secure it in a neat coil when everything is clipped back in place. A super quick and easy solution that keeps your device's power cable under control at all times. At standard scale, the CableManager works with 6.75mm diameter power cables which are common for laptop power supplies. Scale up or down as needed to fit other popular cable sizes. I've also added a second .stl design specifically for Ethernet cables that functions in exactly the same way. For instance, with Ethernet Cables, reduce the X/Y scaling by 22% (78% of standard) to use with 5.25mm cables which are the average size for most Ethernet connections. Note: Cables come in different diameters so you might need to try a couple out to get them just right for your specific cables - only uniform X/Y scaling is recommended as Z scaling can affect the strength and flexibility of the CableManager. This is a great way to keep your power cable tidy, adjusted to the length you need it to be and tangle-free! Note: If you like this design then check out all my other fun and practical designs too!
