CableCam with 2 Pulleys and a GoPro Mount
thingiverse
Building a cable cam for my mountain bike riding involves adding 608 skate bearings and 4mm rope, all of which are precisely fitted into 5mm holes. The next version will feature 8mm holes to accommodate the skate bearings more comfortably. This innovative design was created using Tinkercad, an online platform available at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/ktIcDD2YYil. To refine this project, I incorporated a better pulley design and included final mock-up images for reference. Additionally, after printing the cable cam, I added new GoPro mount, updated the mount plate, and included washers to ensure a secure fit. Here are my print settings: Printer: Monoprice Maker Ultimate Rafts: Irrelevant to this project Supports: Not necessary Resolution: 0.2mm for optimal detail Infill: 10-20% to achieve a balance between strength and lightness Notes: When using PLA, the 608 skate bearings should fit snugly into the 22mm hole, matching their outer diameter (OD).
