My Laptop Bag Cable Organizer: A Convenient Solution The clutter in my laptop bag was overwhelming with an assortment of USB, Lightning, and iPhone cables scattered all over the place. Despite my research, none of the other cable wraps seemed suitable for my needs. After five iterations of redesigning, I finally created a cable wrap that efficiently stores my cables without putting excessive strain on them. The design allows me to fully wrap a cable and then selectively unwrap sections to obtain various lengths as needed. I wanted the design to enable multiple wrappers to connect seamlessly and easily be twisted into pentagonal or hexagonal assemblies, as shown in the images. Fortunately, this feature has proven effective without any stress on the cables. If you're interested, you can also explore a related project that integrates dongle holders with the same snap-together system. Print settings are key; I've discovered that it prints exceptionally well without any support needed. During assembly, be aware of the 1mm offset but it shouldn't pose any issues in my opinion. Should you encounter cables whose loops are too tight for a specific wire size, simply trimming a bit off the loop should solve the problem. The design seems highly adaptable to larger wires; I plan to experiment further with modified versions to confirm its effectiveness on various cable sizes. To get the best results, use high-quality printing materials. Consider starting with just two initial units to check for precise fitting and ensure optimal performance from the snap-together system.
