Cable Wrap Mould & Tips
thingiverse
Follow these steps to create a wire-wrapped tip using Oogoo and a mold: Firstly, set the printer with Infil at 50%, supports off, raft on, and shells at 2. Next, use 20 guage wire and Oogoo (a mixture of cornstarch, silicone, and food coloring if desired). Then, place one tip onto the wire, forming a hook at the end. Tuck the wire hook into the tip and cut it slightly longer than the mold. Now, mix up half a teaspoon each of cornstarch and silicone and spread the Oogoo mixture in the mold halves. Insert the wire and second tip, press them in place, and clamp. Leave for an hour before trimming excess wire and bending it into the second tip. Glue on caps with super glue and carefully open the mold to remove the wire wrap. Trim off extra Oogoo and wait 24 hours before bending to ensure it's fully set. Enjoy your completed project!
