Cable Tag! *** Updated *** V1.1 - Added vertical alignment option so CableTag can be set to baseline or vertical centre. This handy tool lets you add your name, or any text, to a USB cable. Label cables with ease so everyone knows who's theirs and what it's for. You can enter up to 10 characters on each model; it's fully customizable for cable size and font. To use, go to the customizer or open in OpenSCAD. There, pick your desired Cable Tag text, font, font size, thickness of the finished Cable Tag, and diameter of the cable to fit to. Simply enter your text, use character spacing sliders to layout the tag, and adjust letter castellation as needed. If you can't get the Cable Tag on your cable, try widening the slot with a file or warming it up and pushing it over. You can also increase the slot ratio on the model and reprint; I've had success with 0.8-0.85 ratio. If the cable run is too tight, try increasing the diameter by 0.5mm to help; this will also widen the bottom slot since they're connected. I'd appreciate your feedback and suggestions for improvements.
