Cable Spooler

Cable Spooler

Student Adam C. from Drafting & Design 12 designed an audio cable spooler for his vehicle, which can be modified using Solid Edge and its provided .par files. The spooler requires two printable parts with the center drilled out to accommodate an 8mm bolt. We printed ours on a MakerBot Dual using red PLA. Shells were set at three, infill at 50%, nozzle temp at 190°C, and bed temp at 0°C. Support is needed for both parts. An 8mm bolt (1.5" long) and nut are required, with the bolt hole needing to be drilled out accordingly. To secure the cable in place, one could use lock tite or a second nut.
