Cable reel
thingiverse
The inspiration for this project came from a design found on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1816050, making it essentially a remix of that original idea. This custom reel is built around a repurposed empty roll of packing tape core, paired with two precision-printed end caps. The carefully crafted holes for securing cables are sized to accommodate various diameters, ranging from 3mm to 9mm in increments, ensuring compatibility with most cable types. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao i3 Rafts: None required Supports: Not needed Infill Percentage: 50% Notes: Printed using PTEG material, but it's likely that PLA would yield similar results without any adjustments. Key print settings include a bottom layer speed of 10mm/s, an infill speed of 30mm/s, and a top/bottom speed of 25mm/s. The outer shell was printed at a speed of 35mm/s, while the inner shell reached 45mm/s. Printing temperature was set to 235°C with a bed temperature of 60°C. Shell thickness is 1.2mm.
