Cable rack
thingiverse
I embarked on a compact project this weekend to refine my cable management system by utilizing 3D printing technology. Although I already possess a metal rack with a similar setup, I decided to leverage the advancements in 3D printing to create an improved version. The design aims to minimize plastic usage while maintaining structural integrity by employing two slender walls to support each finger, thereby allowing for prints without supports. To ensure optimal adhesion, I strongly recommend printing with the back plate facing upwards on the print bed. Printing the fingers flat on the bed can expedite the process but may result in difficulties achieving proper adhesion, particularly when dealing with 24 delicate thin walls. However, results may vary depending on individual printer performance. The Fusion 360 design is meticulously crafted to accommodate variable numbers of fingers and screws, providing users with a high degree of customization flexibility.
