Not long after I got my snowblower, the top of the plastic cable protector broke off. I designed a replacement protector with similar dimensions. The first time I tried printing, I did not have good adhesion and the print failed at the top. Using larger brim helps and recommend slowing the printer down to 50-75% when approaching the top of the print (i.e., after 2 hours). The original cable protector is domed, and thus needs to be printed with the dome at the top. Alternatively, I've provided a model with a flat top that can be printed upside down, with the flat top on the base. Either way you will likely need a brim.

You cannot print this lying horizontally. I tried with an octagonal version, but it was no good.

I used fuzzy skin in PrusaSlicer/Cura. I think it makes this look better.

I printed this in PLA, though I suspect PETG might be a better choice in the long run.

Print settings:

PLA

Layer height, variable, 0.2mm

Infill n/a (left at 20%)

Brim, inner and outer 7mm

Fuzzy skin option

Designed with OpenScad.
