I developed a special device to prevent accidental loss of our HDMI/VGA adapters after meetings. This isn't a true antitheft solution, but rather a way to make it more challenging for someone to mistakenly take it away. It was designed specifically for standard Kensington-lock laptops with 6 mm diameter cables. I've also created versions that accommodate 8 mm and 10 mm diameter cables.
