Cable Hook

Cable Hook

The pesky printer cables behind my desk were always getting tangled on the floor, necessitating a tedious crawl under the desk to retrieve them and slide them over the edge in order to connect them. Frequently, they'd slip back down to the floor by the time I'd risen from my seat to grab them. A bulky cable management rack wasn't something I wanted cluttering up the space behind my chair, but I needed a simple solution nonetheless. So I designed this hook that allows me to stash the cables right underneath the tabletop when they're not in use, making it easy for me to reach over and grasp them from there instead of crawling under the desk. No more frustrating searches until the cables are finally in place. I did take a shortcut with the holes, though - to ensure maximum stability, I printed the hook without any holes initially and only added them later using a soldering iron. Once done, I screwed it firmly into the table with a slender screwdriver.
