The support for cables coming from the extruder in the RepRap Prusa I3 provides critical stability for smooth operation. This test part was printed with PLA, yet I firmly believe ABS would yield a better result in this specific case due to its inherent durability. My initial intention was to incorporate a spring into the top of the holder for enhanced versatility; however, attempts at printing it were fraught with difficulty and resulted in subpar outcomes. Moving forward, I intend to explore alternative methods, potentially utilizing a metal spring as an optimal solution. As it stands, the support functions flawlessly without one. I wish to extend my gratitude to my colleague Roberto F. for his invaluable contributions to this design.
