**The Problem** If you're not installing the spool holder as Creality advises in their construction plan, you might encounter a problem with the x-axis cable (motor and switch). Why wouldn't you follow the creator's instructions? Well, mounting the holder perpendicularly on the right side of the printer has one advantage: it keeps the filament spool out of reach of moving printer parts. Great! But there are also some disadvantages: first, the spool increases the footprint/space of the printer. Also, maintaining the filament will require accessing the backside of the printer. If you have plenty of space around your printer and don't plan to put it in a housing for printing other materials than PLA, you can disregard this warning. You can follow Creality's instructions without a second thought. Interestingly, on the Ender 5 Plus, Creality rotated the spool by 90°. What a clever idea! **The Solution** I created a simple holder that fits into the upper edge of the x-axis motor cover. I then folded it downwards – no screws or tools needed! After that, I ran the cable through the clips. And that's it! The cable will be guided between the filament spool and the moving bed. I've tested it, and it works perfectly. If you use my "Dry Filament Box" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4056923), I recommend printing this holder as well due to its edges on the acrylic cover. CableholderX v10.stl is a newer, more robust version of v8. I recognized that the holding clips in v8 were not strong enough for extended printer use. So, I made them stronger in v10.
