Cable Hanger/Bracket

Cable Hanger/Bracket

So I've got a plethora of Ethernet, Display, Serial and random cables at work cluttering up my bench. Cables inevitably get knotted together, and someone always ends up wrestling with the dreaded ball of chaos. This bracket is slim enough to accommodate a cable in a 4-inch loop on it and deep enough for several cables to be hung from it. I utilize two-sided 3M VHB tape (blue or red) from my local hardware store to secure the mount to the wall. To apply the tape, cut a 110mm piece off, leaving the backing intact. Stick the tape directly onto the wall edge of the mount. Then, use a corner of a desk to firmly press the tape into place. Wait 20 minutes for a strong bond to form, and then remove the backing and press the mount firmly against its desired location on the wall. Avoid hanging items from the mount for about 30-60 minutes to allow the tape time to fully bond with the wall (just like you're supposed to do with 3M hooks). As an added bonus, I've created a version of this bracket that features holes for screws.
