Cable Clip holder
thingiverse
Nail in cable clips! I can't be the only person that hates these things. They are great for tidying cables, but I always struggle to get it right into the corner without bashing my thumb with the hammer. Anyway, I needed to tidy a temporary extra network cable into my home office, so I designed and printed myself a widget. I think the photos explain how it works and it saved my fingers so I hope others find it useful. Only use the holder for the first blow or two from the hammer it'll get damaged and/or stuck if you hammer the nail fully in with the holder in place. It works well on the 6mm and 8mm clips I currently have at home(pictured). I have uploaded a .stl and an .stp so you could scale the height if required for a bigger clip. Printer settings don't really matter as long as the part comes out rigid.
