I have solid material skirting boards in my living room, but I needed to run an aerial cable and a speaker cable through them. To start, I stuck the cables to the skirting board using Scotch tape, but that wasn't the best solution so I created a custom cable clamp instead. The cable clamp attaches to the lower part of the skirting board where it meets the wall. There might be as much as 0.6 millimeters of space between the wall and the skirting board, which is perfectly fine with this design. This cable clamp is specifically made for skirting boards that are at least 14 millimeters wide.
