Cable Chain
thingiverse
Cable Chain for 3D Printers or Small CNC Routers. It boasts an innovative arc on the top of the chamber that significantly reduces support dependency. The chamber section area is approximately 120mm², providing ample space for smooth cable management. When printing, don't forget to rotate parts by 90° for optimal results. This design features self-locking functionality that allows for bending in only one direction. End brackets are included for both directions, ensuring secure cable routing. Supports: Yes, to ensure stability during printing. Resolution: 0.2mm for high-quality results. Infill: 100% for maximum strength and durability. Notes: Consider selecting the "only touching bed" option in your slicer software to reduce support requirements even further. ABS plastic is highly recommended for this design due to its excellent print quality and durability. How I Designed This As always, I utilized Solidworks to create these models. The distance between joint points is 16.5mm, with a height of 13.5mm and width of 16.5mm. The cable chamber is deliberately non-rectangular, featuring an arch-shaped top that allows for printing without support (though supports may still be necessary for the pin and chamfer areas).
