Cable chain with limiter
thingiverse
I love JohnnieWhiskey's cable chain design on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2920060. My own chain had a tendency to bend in only two places due to friction. I wanted to see if I could force the chain into a more sequential path. To achieve this, I added a limiter that prevents inward curvature. The links at the ends aren't yet resolved and are temporarily glued in place. You'll still need the clips and end pieces from the original design, as these modifications only include the links and will likely only work on the bed chain. I aimed to design it without supports, but there are a few tricky sections that require them. I recommend using supports to ensure successful printing. Update: Thank you ROSEMOURNE for reminding me of my other goal – keeping the upper and lower segments parallel to the table with a deliberate curve between them. This design is almost achieving that. A little work on the end pieces will complete it. It was a fun challenge, not a criticism of JohnnieWhiskey's outstanding work.
