Cable Chain Remix for Pro Operation Remix
thingiverse
This is a slight modification to the "Cable Chain Remix for Pro Operation" model. The original models had holes measuring 5mm in diameter, which were too narrow for an M5 bolt to spin freely, making it impossible to tighten them properly against squares or T-nuts. Moreover, these early versions were solid throughout, necessitating a peculiar M5 size that I couldn't locate due to its unavailability. A 25mm length was too short, while 30mm was excessively long, and local stores around me didn't carry intermediate sizes. I made some adjustments to the original models by enlarging the bolt hole to 5.5mm in diameter and adding a 10.25mm inset hole at a distance of 15.5mm from one end. This created a 4.5mm section of plastic for the bolt to grip onto, allowing M10 bolts – commonly used on D-Bot and derived printers – to fit seamlessly with these modified models. The rest of the design remains unchanged.
