We produced ten feet of cable chain for our four-by-four Hedron Ooznest Openbuilds OxCNC machine, more details on which are available online at hedron.technology/cncrouter. We manufactured this chain using a print setting of scale 2.0, resulting in pieces that snap together easily although they are not as sturdy as the original designs by tosjduenfs. When we attempted to assemble the scaled-up versions provided by tosjduenfs at twice the size, we encountered difficulties snapping them together easily, so we adjusted the wall thickness for a smoother fit. According to my opinion, there exists a balance that could be struck between our two approaches to achieve the optimal speed of printing, simple assembly, and long-lasting performance. All one has to do is experiment with the design files provided by both tosjduenfs and I to optimize them for personal needs. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 50% Notes: I uploaded the file upside down, we printed four pieces at a time, SCALE = 2.0 to house several cables simultaneously. I designed this item using Solidworks, incorporating existing design files and adjusting wall thickness in strategic locations to ensure that when printed at 2.0 scale, it consumes minimal plastic resources.
