Cable chain - one piece, removable, fast to print, no supports
thingiverse
Here's a small cable chain that can be printed without supports in one piece for each chain link, making it easy to assemble. The cable chain design allows for seamless insertion and removal of cables from the mounted chain. I successfully integrated this cable chain into my CTC DIY printer using the original screws. If you require alternative mounting solutions, a Sketchup file is provided so that you can create your own custom mounts. Key dimensions include: Radius: approximately 35 mm (corresponding to a diameter of about 70 mm) Room for cables: roughly 7x5 mm A notable issue was pointed out by [Spiritdude](https://www.thingiverse.com/Spiritdude), who noted that the cable chain may interfere with the Y stopper switch. I concur and appreciate the observation! To resolve this issue, I had to relocate the Y stopper switch by rotating its back side. Additionally, since the Y motor's direction was also affected by this change, it required reversing two of its wires to ensure proper functionality. A diagram illustrating the updated arrangement is included. I'm grateful for Spiritdude's resourcefulness in finding an alternative solution that avoided relocating the switch altogether! His comment and [make](https://www.thingiverse.com/make:494682) are valuable references.
