Cable Chain Motor to Extruder head

Cable Chain Motor to Extruder head

I identified a need to reverse engineer the cable chain so it stayed within the footprint of the printer. The original concept was great, but I couldn't leave well enough alone. Here is my rework and reversed cable chain for the X-Axis on Anet A8 printers, which should also work with similar machines. (update 28/10/2016 1:54 PM) The motor mount had a few imperfections, so I adjusted it, and uploaded a new file. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Infill: 40% Notes: You'll need to invert the cable chain and find the best way to print it. The upright position would work better on its back. As for the extruder head mount, I've printed it a few times, but I haven't found the perfect method yet. Laying it flat on the screw hole side might work better than my previous attempt. Use supports 100% with the extruder mount. The cable chain pieces are identical to auctionarmsceo's originals and require at least 32 pieces. On the motor mount, I've found that installing it on its back is best without any support. When you're ready to install, run the cables through in sections. Get the larger plugs through first, from largest to smallest (motor lead, white sensor and probe, then fans, then heat power). To fit through the hole in the upright, the larger plugs must go through sideways.
