Cable chains for Prusa i3 Based on Cable chain for Replicator Dual Xmotor by stephenmhall, published Jul 28, 2013, which is licensed under the Creative Commons - Attribution license. I'm modifying this cable chain so it fits on multiple locations on my Prusa i3. I remade the chain unit because I couldn't repair the part to work in OpenSCAD. I recreated it in OpenSCAD, and sources are attached. I suggest you use the original chain unit instead of mine (the file cable_chainunit.stl, included). Z-axis: Right now, there's only the z-axis mount (z_fixed_mount.stl or z_fixed_mount.scad) that attaches to the back of the left z-axis motor (it reuses the screws used to mount your Z-axis motor to the wooden/alu plate). Make sure to print it with sufficient cooling, especially when building the overhang for the second M3 hole. I'm currently designing the Z-axis motor mount because having a cable chain with only one half attached is pretty useless. I'm also printing more chain_units. I'll upload a non-potato photo when it's done. Y-axis: To do X-axis: To do Development can be found on my GitLab profile, feel free to fork and make merge requests. Builds are available for download on Thingiverse. I'll regularly update this README file there. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 100µm Infill: 20% Notes: Cooling is essential for the z_fixed_mount.
