Cable chain
thingiverse
This linkable cable chain can be opened up or closed down.\nNever let the printed-out parts stick too firmly to your bed's surface.\nAfter the printing process, move the shutters gently to give them room to swing freely, then carefully press the link segments together.\nIt has been printed with a layer height of 0.15 using PLA material.\nThe main concept behind this design is for the parts to emerge connected and as one whole unit.\nSeveral makers have successfully created a chain link in two individual parts.\nThe design should be printed with minimal supports, ideally just as shown in the photos, and in those places only where necessary, so my build turns out nicely because the parts don't hang inwardly.\nThe goal here is to show that it's possible to print the movable parts as one interconnected piece without requiring several individual pieces to click together.
