UPDATE 09-02: Thanks to Thorn's suggestions, I've updated the model to v1.2. One of the two main changes from v1.1 has been reversed, and slits have been added to the female tabs. This should resolve any issues with linking. Photo renders are still pending from v1.0. UPDATE 07-02: Thanks to the suggestions, I've updated the model from v1.0 to v1.1. However, photo renders remain unchanged for now. This cable chain stands out from others on YouMagine and Thingiverse due to its unique connection method. This design ensures that no corners protrude when the chain is bent or individual links are rotated relative to each other. As designed, this cable chain is intended for use in a 3D printer similar to a Prusa. Unfortunately, I don't currently have access to a 3D printer; however, my P3steel kit is expected to arrive next week. Until then, I won't be able to create designs for assembling the cable chain on a printer. I anticipate having these designs ready within a few weeks. Regrettably, I haven't been able to test this design yet. Based on my calculations, everything should fit snugly without being too tight or loose, allowing for perfect rotation. If you have a 3D printer up and running, I'd appreciate your help in testing by printing a few links and sharing your results. Dimensions v1.2: - Axis-to-axis length: 20mm - Outer height: 12mm - Inner height: 8mm - Outer width: 20mm - Inner width: 12mm - Outer fillets: 0.4mm (previously 0.5mm in v1.0) - Inner fillets: 1.6mm (previously 2mm in v1.0) - Slits: 10mm (introduced in v1.2, previously none in both v1.1 and v1.0) - Shorter studs: None (reverted from 0.8mm in v1.1) - Overall clearance: 0.4mm (previously 0.25mm in v1.0)
