My newly designed cable chain has undergone some significant improvements. To enhance its stability, I've reinforced the internal structure of the female tab by adding additional material, which reduced the ID from 10mm to a more rigid 9mm. Furthermore, I extended the male protrusion slightly, allowing it to apply a firmer press. The entire assembly now exhibits a snugger fit. While it still doesn't quite match the performance of an Igus chain, this iteration is showing promising results. I've arranged six rows of six open cable links with 9mm IDs in a neat configuration. To prevent the links from wandering across the print bed, I've incorporated a sturdy brim – a 0.25mm thick strip that connects each link securely. Additionally, I've included two end links to ensure a seamless build process.
