Cable Case

UPDATE! An improved version is now available: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3301387 The elastic ribbon has replaced the living hinges and lock, resulting in a more compact printbed size, no need for flexible materials, and better overall performance. This design should be considered outdated. This case conveniently houses a lavalier mic, earphones, and a 4-meter extension cord in one convenient package, perfect for outdoor video shooting. Scaling the design in the x-direction is not an issue, but scaling in y and z directions can affect the living hinges. To achieve optimal results, scale proportionally when adjusting y and z dimensions. Ensure that the first layer's orientation suits the living hinges for proper functionality. To be honest, I'm not entirely satisfied with this design, as it is quite large. However, I was able to print it diagonally on my 215x200mm printbed using Taulman Nylon 230. Unfortunately, this material proved too elastic, causing the lid to malfunction. A stiffer material that still accommodates living hinges might resolve this issue. A redesign is currently underway – stay tuned for updates!
