Cable Camera Design

thingiverse

This is a custom 3D printed cable camera built by repurposing vital electronics and drive components from a Traxxas Rustler. That's where you'll find the titan 550 12t motor, the XL-5 esc, the radio gear and batteries, all expertly reused to create this unique camera setup. The gear is cleverly tucked behind the drive wheel, but there are a few tight spots in that area as well as between the wheels and the cable, so be sure to keep everything clear of it when it's running. I used bright orange paracord for improved visibility to minimize the risk of people accidentally bumping into it, so stay aware of your surroundings while using this camera setup. Additionally, I wrapped the drive wheel with a rubber band to enhance traction and prevent slipping. As with any RC project, be mindful of your environment and run it in a safe manner. This system can quickly get out of control due to its speed. Finally, you can find the YouTube video showcasing this project at: https://youtu.be/KfvctB88EeU
