Cable Caddy (at least for my workspace...)

My workspace upgrade consists of a sleek Dell Precision 6800 laptop that's always ready to go. But when I unplug the power adapter with its massive cable bulb, I find myself wrestling with where to stash it - so frustrating! To solve this problem and add some extra organization, I came up with a clever solution that also accommodates miscellaneous USB and audio cables. By using two small squares of 3M's automotive extreme mounting tape, I can securely attach the adapter to my desktop - which is made of pine-laminate wood, if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully, this idea will inspire you to create something useful too! The "bulb cup" has an inside diameter of 0.880 inches x 0.730 inches deep, with a 0.375-inch pass-through hole (22.35mm x 18.54mm, 9.53mm). How I Made This Happen I designed this solution using Solidworks.
