Cable Bundle Clamps
thingiverse
The clamping mechanism I created for supporting wiring bundles on my 3D printer wasn't holding up, so I designed this upgraded bundle clamp. The clamp comes in three diameters: 14mm, 18mm, and 20mm to accommodate various bundle sizes. I needed a narrower base in another application, so there are also two different base sizes. The standard base width is 18mm while the narrower base is 14mm wide. Unless you need the narrow base, the standard base is recommended. The STEP files are included for the standard base sizes. Print Settings Printer: Cobblebot Basic Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1-0.2 Infill: 20% Directions STLs are oriented in the best printing position. The flange prints better on its side rather than an upside-down U. There are STLs for both standard and narrow bracket mounts, but only one flange STL for each size. They are interchangeable. The base hole diameter is 5mm and the clamp uses M3 hardware. To keep it simple, I didn't design nut traps. Just use M3 bolts to cut threads into the plastic. Even with pulling on the cable bundle, the clamp will have sufficient holding force.
