I snapped a cabinet shelf peg, prompting me to break out my trusty calipers and design a replacement from scratch. My first attempt at crafting a new peg was in PLA, but it failed miserably as soon as I test fitted it into the hole. Even with 100% infill, it didn't stand a chance. Undeterred, I decided to try again with clear resin, determined to match the original parts' precision and accuracy. It paid off - my new peg fit perfectly. I've got a stash of them now, all thanks to an impromptu decision to give creating functional parts a go.
