Cabinet Lock for Child Safety

Cabinet Lock for Child Safety

I designed it specifically for my kitchen under counter cabinets. I have a ten-month-old child who is curious about what's inside the cabinets. Child safety products on the market are difficult to use, and they're not practical, especially when it comes to using them on under counter cabinets. So I decided to build my own safety locks. I used 1 mm thick acrylic double-sided adhesive tapes to mount the pieces to the cabinet and counter. Disclaimer: Cohesive resistance may vary depending on the product. I used a 4 kg/cm2 tape, and it worked well for my case. I let my children force the cabinet doors open while ensuring their safety, but they worked perfectly. These types of adhesives are incredibly powerful, but never leave your children unattended.
