The filter in the VAZ 2107's hood so that dirt doesn't fly into the passenger compartment heater and clutter up the interior space is crucial. To minimize the dirt accumulation under the hood, sealant must be applied along the body's edge as shown in the photo. The filtration material used is Sintepon, a 10mm thick synthetic fabric. A duplicate of the filter fasteners is printed in reverse image for added security.
