Paleolithic Art in bone. A stunning Magdalenian horse head carved into a work of art found in the Abrigo de la Viña cave, nestled in the Nalón basin of Asturias, Spain. Crafted from hyoid bones, this distinctive type of pendant was highly valued by the Magdalenians for its unique perimeter shape, often featuring horses or deer, and was widely used across various geographical areas, particularly in the Cantabrian and Pyrenean regions. Today, this remarkable piece is proudly showcased in the permanent collection of the Archaeological Museum of Asturias, situated in the historic city of Oviedo.
