Cab King coolant nozzle retrofit
thingiverse
The existing coolant system on my cabochon machine was seriously flawed, so I set out to design a superior system using 3/8 PVC pipe to pump coolant with those fantastic hoses available on Amazon. The hose barb is quite tight, requiring some sanding to fit properly. Meanwhile, the elbow is loose, but I borrowed the model from McMaster and didn't bother editing it, which means it'll need extra glue to fill the gap. You might as well buy a 90-degree elbow at the store. To assemble these parts, I printed them in ABS plastic, and PVC glue works just fine - although it's full of MEK solvent, which is notorious for dissolving ABS. Taps: • 3/8-24: thread size on the body to valve connection • 7/16-20: valve-side hose adapter • 1/2-20: hose-side hose adapter
