C9 Pixel cover - Improved
thingiverse
This is a significant improvement from my original version found on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1243507. The design, created entirely in Fusion 360, perfectly captures the classic Incandescent C9 bulb shape. A 13mm thread at the base securely screws down over the soft plastic surrounding common LED pixels used in Christmas lights, providing a far more stable fit than the original push fixture. I have extensively tested this on various different pixels with successful results. The shell is designed to be 0.8mm thick, allowing for two perimeters using a 0.4mm nozzle. Three STL files are provided: one features a classic smooth exterior, while the other two showcase random facets that give an external texture without significantly altering the light output. The file names are C9bulbnew, C9bulbnew-f, and C9bulbnew-f2. For optimal results, print in translucent colors for white LEDs.
