C7 LED Pixel Cover
thingiverse
This is a C7 version of the C9 covers http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1637357 The shape and size has been carefully crafted as close to a classic Incandescent C7 bulb as possible. A 13mm thread at the base securely screws down over the soft plastic surrounding common LED Pixels used in Christmas lights, providing a reliable fit far less likely to come loose than the original push fixture. The shell is 0.8mm thick, designed for two perimeters using a 0.4mm nozzle. Two STL files are provided: one with a classic smooth exterior and another featuring random facets that add an external texture without greatly affecting the light output. C7 Smooth Exterior, Classic Style C7 Faceted Exterior, Unique Texture You can print these in translucent colors for white LEDs. Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Pro Dual Rafts: No Raft Needed Supports: No Supports Required Resolution: 0.2mm or 0.1mm Recommended Infill: Nil Infill Density Notes: Print them slowly until successful. Translucent ABS works exceptionally well for these prints. I exclusively print these using S3D, with three separate processes: one for the base, one for the main section, and one for the top 20 layers. The top 20 layers are printed at 0.1mm to ensure a tight seal, although 0.2mm should also produce acceptable results.
