C7 Corvette Logo

This is the C7 logo I designed in school using our IdeaSpace program. The XYZWare application trimmed the checkered portion out from that blank space on the left side. Normally, there would be a 1/16" layer effect there to enhance the checkered look. This was printed directly on my Da Vinci 1.0 printer without any calibration adjustments beforehand. I've now re-adjusted the printer settings and I'll print a new example shortly, so stay tuned! Enjoy viewing this picture for now. Instructions The black one appears to be printed in .1 mm layers using an expertly calibrated printer after all that adjustment. However, prior to that change, it was being printed at a relatively poor .2 or .3 mm layer height with less-than-ideal calibration settings still in effect. The red logo on the other hand, was produced at school on their high-quality MakerBot Z18 3D printer using fine .1 mm PLA filaments, resulting in very smooth and vibrant layers. The difference lies not just in material types, such as my ABS versus theirs PLA options, but indeed the precision with which the objects were constructed and built. Density can indeed be altered at your own discretion for a particular model or design.
