C64 Simple Power Supply PSU Case
prusaprinters
<p>I wanted to build an ultra simple C64 power supply using two wall warts (5v DC, 9v AC) and an extension cord. I used zip ties to help keep the cables from pulling out of the box.</p><p>I designed this box to contain the power supplies and to protect the crimped connections, etc. Yeah, it's pretty chunky compared to commercial offerings, but is effective and is an easy build.</p><p><strong>More photos to come shortly.</strong></p><p><strong>Items used in this build (not affiliate links)</strong></p><ul><li><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTYL3HS">Extension Cord</a></li><li><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082D97W98">5V DC 3A power supply</a></li><li><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B886CWS">9V AC 1.5A transformer</a></li><li><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QS7MKH9">4 conductor cable</a></li><li><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C7WWX8Z">Geeetech Transparent PLA</a></li><li><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CYNKLT2">Four M3x12 Screws</a></li><li><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0978QLHVD">7 pin din</a> - <strong>there are probably better choices</strong></li><li><a href="https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gardner-Bender-22-16-AWG-Butt-Splice-Wire-Connectors-in-Red-75-Pack-75-121/202522623">16-22 AWG Butt Splices</a></li><li><a href="https://www.homedepot.com/p/Klein-Tools-Ratcheting-Crimper-3005CR/306884697">Ratcheting Crimper</a></li><li>Soldering iron</li><li>Solder</li></ul><p>If anyone wants a Fusion 360 export, let me know.</p><h3>Print Settings</h3><p><strong>Printer: </strong>Prusa<strong> </strong>i3 MK3</p><p><strong>Rafts: </strong>No</p><p><strong>Supports: </strong>Yes (on <strong>Base.stl</strong>)</p><p><strong>Resolution: </strong>0.3mm</p><p><strong>Infill: </strong>15%</p><p><strong>Filament:</strong> Geeetech PLA Transparent</p><p><strong>Notes:</strong></p><p>Print in the provided orientation.</p><p>Supports are desirable on Base but not necessary on the larger print, Lid.</p><p> </p>
