C6 Corvette Mobius Mirror Dash Camera Mount

This is a bracket designed specifically for mounting a Mobius Actioncam to the rearview mirror of C6 Corvettes. It removes the cover in front of the stack and secures it with a zip tie or similar fastener through the mirror, preventing movement and keeping the camera out of sight from drivers and others (especially when you're 6'2" tall, visibility was a major concern). The plastic piece that attaches the mirror to the windshield features a plastic plate facing forward, covering a pocket. On my car, this pocket is empty, but I'm hoping higher trim levels won't have anything inside theirs. The cover snaps on and off easily. Initially, I attempted to fit the camera into the pocket since it was a nearly perfect fit, but I couldn't find a way to plug it in without drilling through the back of the pocket. Instead, I 3D printed a custom part that fits snugly into the pocket, featuring a zip tie that passes through the printed part and the two holes of the mirror mount where the cover snaps into place. Note: For anyone looking to replicate this setup, it's essential to replace the lithium battery in the camera with a capacitor. The intense heat from direct sunlight may cause the battery to fail, swell, or even catch fire in extreme cases. However, the capacitor works well and can be programmed to turn on and off with power. To control the camera, you'll need to use either a switched cigarette lighter, power from the radio unit, or a 5V regulator connected to a switched fuse.
