C6-3 Solid Motor Rocket
thingiverse
This is a simple model rocket I built to use with my C6-3 solid rocket boosters. No safety features are included to prevent the booster from falling out until it's fired, so I used a small piece of tape instead. A launch can be seen here: https://youtu.be/yJUzcxsDpjY To assemble, just snap the top part into the bottom part. The design allows for a .30-.45 mm tolerance with my printer, but you may need to shrink the lower section if your printer handles tolerances better. For proper launch, you'll need a straight rod about 3mm in diameter. Since the center of pressure is slightly ahead of the center of mass, the rocket should fly relatively straight when in the atmosphere. I printed it with a wall width of two layers.
